Pickleball: a New Tradition

For the Love of Pickleball

Are you looking for a sport that combines tennis and ping pong? Pickleball is the way to go. The sport is everywhere, and you can easily see why: not only is it a great way to get some exercise, but it’s also low-impact enough that anyone can do it. The game pickleball was introduced here on our Sunnydale campus by Claudeny Monasse. Friends and family usually come together to play in the Gymnasium. The pickleball lines are now officially added in the Gym. “It’s a fun sport, can get competitive but also can be chill to play” says Parker, class of 2024.
When the weather is bad, our students can play these sports inside, but we would also like to offer them the chance to play outside! Our Athletics Department Wish List includes a facelift for what is generally known as “the Tennis Court.” It would be a game-changer! Picture yourself enjoying the sun, playing pickleball, tennis, four-square, half-court basketball, nine-square or Corn Hole with friends, and having a blast. By supporting this project, you're bringing fun and fitness to the campus community. As we continue to grow spiritually on this campus, we can’t forget about physical improvement. Let's explore the benefits and make Sunnydale the ultimate pickleball destination!
